"I'm the only female engineer on a technical team of two. Workplace is full of ego and you've got to be ready to stick up for yourself otherwise you'll get trampled. "

"I can move my hours somewhat to accommodate appointments and the like, but otherwise I don't have the flexibility and freedom to make the best technological choices for the application due to being hamstrung by rank-pulling and ego-based decisions by upper management."
