"Maternity leave policy is incredible (16 weeks 100% fully paid, no PTO needed). Super supportive of families, especially in marketing, which is run by a woman. Work/life balance can really suck depending on your team but people are in general very understanding to family life (appointments, kid events, etc). "

"It’s a slow process to move around. Many tenured employees have no desire to move to other areas of the company, causing a stagnant work environment. Otherwise, pay and benefits are the best I have ever had."

"discover, at least the bank side is very political. you can get a lot of exposure and experience because it is small, but sometimes not always the best thing is done from a human capital perspective as well as business strategy perspective. "

"It’s good if you don’t want to work in the city and there are a lot of women with kids dealing with the same struggles of working motherhood. Promotion is challenging, but possible."

"The company is mostly run by white males however there are very fair and clear HR practices. Without proof I do suspect women are paid less as Sr Leaders however. "

"Movement is slow but women are equally considered for promotions. Very accepting of feminine creativity and mindset for a financial company and extremely accommodating for women and men with families. "

"It truly depends on your manager and whether he/she will allow you to work from home more than once a week or take advantage of the satellite office downtown. In my experience, my management has been very accommodating with my schedule when I needed flexibility, but I know this doesn't happen for everyone."

"I believe the policy has changed since I left the company. I believe it is more generous in that instead of getting 60% of pay during the first six weeks, you can get more than that. Men can also now take advantage of paternity leave, too."

"I've worked there almost 10 years. In that time I haven't seen as many women as men move into upper manage my positions. Discover does have great community groups and diversity and they do a great job of work life balance but it still feels like women get shorted in the promotion area."
