They advertise those jobs internally. Director and above jobs aren't usually advertised so their is no application process and the good old boys club takes over. At a presentation on mentoring, women were advised that men mentoring women were seen as affairs but since there are almost no women at higher levels it becomes impossible to have mentors let alone sponsors. They really don't even give lip service to diversity beyond having a non enforced non discrimination policy in place. Every reorganization or newly created director or VP role go to men. It's clear that from the top on down that women are not considered to even have leadership potential or decision making ability."
