"Remember you have to manage your own career just like you would anywhere else. There are many great mentors (female and male) that are available. Leverage them. "

"All of my time was paid, however, the entire process confused me so can't separate what was paid by employer versus paid leave from the disability. Employer was very helpful in explaining so nothing negative there it was just confusing to me. "
