"Maternity leave is not the best when you are relatively new to the company. Senior leadership is almost all men. If you are on a flexible work schedule you will not be promoted. The ownership structure is too restrictive and makes it nearly impossible to become an owner. Your only chance is to work in a regional headquarters and even there the chances are slim. They should really convert to a ESOP program. The company is very conservative and resistant to change."

"This is a great place to work! Maternity leave can be scary, but in my case it was a great opportunity for a younger woman working for me to step up. In the course of a career maternity leave is a very short duration."

"While the company (and our field) is still generally male dominated, there are great opportunities for females within Hazen and Sawyer. There are many young(ish) women advancing quickly, which I did not see as recently as 5 years ago. There is also a better understanding of work/life balance, and equal treatment of both men and women who need to leave work at a certain time (or get to work at a certain time) to accommodate childcare. I'd love to see more maternity leave, and the start of paternity leave, but hopefully that comes with time. Overall great company to work for."
