"On the plus side there are a lot of women in leadership positions. However, Heartland Dental has an outdated PTO policy. Two weeks of PTO is not enough especially if you have small children who get sick. The majority of employees are female but they do not offer paid maternity leave. They do not support working mothers. "

"This company is "doctor-lead" by definition. Integrity and doing the right thing comes second. Doctor is right, management is not."

"It is a good company to work for. It take a full year to get any PTO and as a young mother that is difficult when kids adjust from being stay at home to in a school environment and catch every germ. They generally are not open on weekends but some offices do call for late nights (7pm). Depending on the office and management they can be flexible to allow employees to meet the needs of their children (picking up children by daycare closing time and taking days off when kids are sick). "
