"If you need support, ask for it. Don’t flounder on your own. Make as much noise as is needed to get the information or resources you need to do your job. If you stay quiet, it will be assumed that everything is great. No one will ask how things are going until it’s time to present results. "

"This company offers flexibility for working parents. It, however, does not provide paid leave for new parents. To spend 3 months with a new baby at Ingram, you must save your vacation, cash out your sick leave, and go on short-term disability. There are few women (and many white males) at the executive level, though plenty of women in middle management. As a workplace, the culture tends conservative, which is reflective of its headquarters in suburban Nashville, TN."
