"It's fast food -- depending on the store, you can possibly advocate for yourself and find yourself comfortable through negotiation without negative impact, losing your job or experiencing retaliation, unlike corporate spaces. I find most conflict gets settled directly rather than some formal HR process. I tend to prefer this, but I'm also hardcore. Trust your gut, no matter where you go."
