"We currently have no women in production, which I think is a shame, but I do see all of the resumes and applications that come in and we get vanishingly few female applicants and none that are trained / qualified so far.
In a sales role, the salary is dependent upon performance so gender is for the most part, irrelevant. This is the first company I've ever worked where I made more than the men I worked with. It was because I sold more, with fewer mistakes and got lots of referrals.
An office or design role is the toughest, because you have to prove your worth. It's harder to do that with few obvious metrics but we are working on improving that part."
