"Railroading is definitely male-dominated, however, at Kansas City Southern, there is a focus on diversity and lifting women up the corporate ladder. "

"When I started at Kansas City Southern, we were expected to be in the office every day. Since Covid, those whose jobs can be done remote are allowed to work from home. After only a few months, top level management was able to see that we are productive and shared that they trust us to be remote, thanking us for our dedication. "

"I work with wonderful people at KCS. I feel very supported and everyone I have worked with is very kind. I feel welcomed and supported in my role. I am so happy to have the opportunity to work at KCS. "

"There is lots of opportunities in the Railroad industry. It's not the male dominated workforce that it may have once been. Women are respected and treated as equals. Your opinion, idea, or point of view is heard, understood, or has an impact, especially amidst competing voices."

"KCS is a very strong company with a rich history. Railroading is a backbone industry of the US and it is an exciting time to be part of it. KCS has made great strides in the past few years to promote diversity, equity and inclusion across all protected classes. Many women have been promoted into leadership positions and are performing at a very high level. KCS is striving to always be better and it is a great atmosphere. "

"Kansas City Southern is a great place to work and has opportunities for women to impact the transportation industry in a variety of ways: moving or fixing trains, designing the railroad, improving logistics through process and analytics, providing leadership and direction and more!"
