"The individuals I work with are very supportive of young families, but the general culture talks the talk of being supportive but does not always walk the walk. It’s a numbers game. If you go on parental leave at the wrong time, it can negatively impact your career despite what is communicated through firm policies. I don’t think that would be different anywhere else though.
Firm needs to continue to work to promote women, especially diverse women, through the ranks. "
