"Find a manager who will support and advocate for you. Be VERY CLEAR on career goals so you can justify promotions and growth. Even then, not guaranteed.
Folks are generally very kind and compassionate, but diversity is strongly lacking in the engineering space."

"Good parental hear if you’ve been there a year, VERY UNCLEAR on amounts if you haven’t been there. Referred to a third party company to ask about it if you haven’t been there a year, which is terrifying, esp if you’re thinking about trying. Def could feel like there’s going to be penalties if you inquire while you’re an employee who is there less than a year."

"There is definitely a culture of understanding here that you have other other obligations besides your job. It is encouraged to take as much time as needed to take care of those responsibilities and the rest of the team will try their best to accommodate this. "

"Working at NerdWallet has been an experience that, for the first time in my life, has made me feel like it is possible to be part of a professional environment where I will not be treated unfairly as a woman. Since the beginning of my employment here, I have always felt strongly that my contributions and skills are valued and recognized equally to my male co-workers, which is a great feeling! "
