"NYU is a great employer in many aspects, the benefits package is well above average and administrators are given over 4 weeks of vacation from the start. However, promotion and pay equity are still challenges, and while things are changing it is taking time."

"It depends on which department you are working for and your line manager will affect your work experience. People are respectful to each other. The pay is not competitive though but at least you will have work-life balance compared to some other industries. "

"Your manager will ultimately make or break your experience. Typically speaking there are a lot of women in support and administrative roles and far fewer on the faculty, but you do see women in senior leadership at the school level."
