"If you have children know that they expect you to put Papa John's before them. They don't care about your family and expect you to be all about pizza all the time. I was demoted because "Being a mom and a restaurant manager don't go together" An area supervisor told me this and it was followed by a demotion, when I went to HR I was fired not even a week later. "For my location I would avoid all together. Which is located in Canton, Ga. The males only see you as their next lay. Once you turn them all down. They start to treat you like crap. Even upper managment will give excuses as " that's just how food is". A ex-bf caught district and store managers gestering behind me like they were grabbing my butt. You complain about harassment they make it a joke. Only way I got it to calm down was to call hr. Another location a female had to call hr to be taken serious and the guy grabbed her boobs and butt. So many more issues. Just avoid. Unless you are tight for cash take it but keep looking. They will never give you a raise. "

"I was the only female delivery driver for a while. But i was also one of the best. So, I got good runs and didn't get over shined by my male counterparts. The other women that came across seemed intimidated by the men, and left within the first 6 months. You just have to be confident and show that you are no less because your a women."

"I have been with Papa John's since 2011 as an instore and shift manager. I have worked in both corporate stores and franchise stores. Very few times have I worked at a store that has an equal amount of women to men. I am not really treated differently from my male counterparts but I have heard of female drivers not taken seriously on when they do not feel comfortable going to certain houses or going to hotel rooms. The company really does not address ways for any employee on protecting themselves from robbery. The only told to them is give them all the money they have on them and try to remember as much detail about a robbery as they can remember."

"when I started in Wilkesboro it was great but after a while with certain employees and team leaders it started getting bad then worse. one employee was stealing from the company and doing illegal drugs on the job and everyone knew it was and nothing was ever done about. Later I left and went to Yadkinville where they had just opened a new Papa Johns and even with my experience no better pay then later found out two guys were making more that me as a delivery driver then they fired the manager and put the assistant as amnager and he hired his best friend and roomrate as assistant ( total horrid nightmare ), the guy was always rubbing up against female employees, making rude comments, making rude comments(and vulger )comments about female customers and then when things were put on the desk for the manager attention, he would read then throw it in the trashcan. It was horrible. But, in the total of 10 years I worked for them I never got a raise and many many nights I was the one who closed and opened on sundays worked 9 to 10 that day and had customers calling the company telling them that I was the best delivery driver they had."

"I worked for this company for 3 years and in that time I had only two female managers. During that time I felt that most of the men working there got the better hours and better r ns then the female staff. Only time I really saw another female hired was to work the phones. When we did have a female manager I felt like the workload was fairly spend out among the staff. Seeing I was at one point the only female that had been there the longest I was eventually trained to work every station at the store."
