The policies are great but they're not given equally.

50% of my job was given to a new hire while I was on 6-week FMLA with my first child. I was working in HR. They justified it due to business. I returned to work and there was nothing I could do because my husband had just lost his job. I got another job as a result. This was reported to ethics and the company still did nothing. So I share this story so people know what happens in this company.

Great flexibility to flex working hours and work from home if your role allows.

If you are lucky enough to get a good manager you will be able to work a fairly flexible schedule. With that said however, you will likely have to put in a lot of hours from home to keep up.

Good place to work with a lot of strong women and women in leadership roles throughout the company. Employee resource groups promote events and opportunities for networking. Energetic workplace that understands family needs. Maternity leave is still kind of pathetic.

Standard leave in Ohio. Limited pay/disability/PTO until exhausted, can take up to 12 weeks with FMLA.

This company is closer to a meritocracy than others I have worked at. We have objectives and are measured against them. If you perform you get promoted and can move up. Women are in many senior and middle positions. For salaried roles most job functions offer flexibility to balance work and life. Because it's based in Cleveland you can have a good paying job in an area that's not too expensive to live in and also has great schools. The women's employee resource group is a great networking organization and there are many other ways to get to know people.
