"The benefits are good, and there are some very smart and creative people here. Overall it's decent. But there are glaring issues such as poor opportunities for advancement, lack of telecommuting options, and low pay. I have no concrete proof that in some areas men are paid more than women, but I know many of us female employees have our suspicions."

"Flexibility is very much dependent on your VP and/or supervisor. Some are very accommodating, others-- not so much. One big glaring hole is the lack of telecommuting, overall. It is just not done here at all- with the exception of very senior level execs who seem to be able to live anywhere in the country and spend large amounts of time working elsewhere. So many of us mid-level employees could actually perform our duties off site and would love to have a day or two a week telecommuting option. With traffic being so awful in the DC area, the federal government allows a great deal of telework. You would think PBS would be more progressive, as well."

"It's a tricky formula. between paid parental leave, short term disability (60% pay) and sick time. You can take up to 12 weeks off with arrangements for more, either unpaid or using vacation time."

"While there are a lot of women who work here in leadership positions, the Digital department is extremely male-dominated, especially in the leadership roles."
