"RAND is an extremely rigid hierarchical organization with very old executive leadership that runs the organization like a gun-trotting military organization. The majority of funding RAND gets is from the DOD. Not surprisingly, white Patriarchy permeates at all the level of RAND. If you're staff you're basically looked down upon, unless your a scientists bringing contracts. The organization is Gender bias and racially bias as well. Terrible place for work-life balance. Horrible management (Finance team and CGS). No room for promotion if you're a woman. "
