"Savvas does not encourage personal or professional growth, and there are no career paths. To move up, you must go outside of your group and apply to other positions, but when you are a finalist, the company has a policy to talk to the employee's current manager before they offer you a position. If your current manager doesn't want to let you leave your current position, the company moves to another candidate. I have had this happen to me, and I have had other colleagues have the same experience. You have to leave the company if you want to further your career. Also, men are always given higher review marks over women, and make more money overall. There is also an environment of bullying in place, and you are teased in group meetings if you wish to learn new skills, explore new and innovative directions, or offer new services to customers. In addition, there is no work-life balance. The boss calls you at 10:30 at night, on weekends, and even on vacation, and will leave multiple messages if you don't answer. It is normal for me to work 55-60 hours a week, and still receive calls on off-hours. When you go to HR with this issue, they do not support you in pushback, and then tell the person you complained about everything you said. Confidentiality does not exist in this company's HR department."
