"If you have the right manager, it is great for work-life balance. Most people telework 3 days a week (5 days with COVID) and you can work flexible hours between 6am and 6pm (5am and 10pm during COVID). However, some of the parameters around the flexibility is very rigid. For example, without the current COVID allowances, we are not allowed to work after 6 and even get in trouble if caught doing so! You telework 3 specific days a week and generally can't change them. Most parents still find it worth it. There are some more flexible places out there, but it could also be a lot worse. It's also generally a pretty low stress job. "
