"The flexibility that comes with working 60+ hours a week can be high if you're an engineer in the sense that you can come in at 10 and stay til 10 or come in at 7 and stay til 7. If you need to leave for an appt you generally can. However, I would have struggled to balance children and work here (especially since my husband works for Elon as well). Typically management will treat you well but there will always be some men who think you're a "diversity hire" so take that as you will. I find this common in other engineering firms I've worked at, but just be aware that the grass isn't always greener. "

"The move towards diversity and inclusion, specifically recruiting more women, and creating a more inclusive environment for women is in the early phases, but there's definitely a concentrated effort being made. "

"Many managers will actively not help you with solving personality issues, many engineers are very unfriendly toward women."
