"If you are looking for a place where you will be supported, valued and encouraged to grow your career, then Stack is the place for you. "
"Unlimited sick time. Never a question when you need to use. When employees are out of office they REALLY are out of office. "
"The company culture supports the flexibility for real-life scenarios - doctor and vet appointments, travel, family time (block your calendar for school drop-offs and pick-ups!), unlimited sick time that includes time for you and those under your care, as well as mental health days. Life happens and the company gives us space for it."
"I have had some amazing jobs over the last 20+ years at well known large companies that paid well and had good benefits with zero culture. At Stack you get the whole package; great benefits, plenty of vacation, sick time as needed (because they actually care about their employees), great health benefits, flexibility, an inclusive environment and just amazing people and culture. Best place I have ever worked."
"I've seen concerted effort to place women in leadership roles here, plus the company offers continual management training for all managers across a variety of topics. "
"It's the first company I've worked for where I haven't felt like a remote employee. And I feel like all employees are encouraged to be themselves, everything from sharing their family moments to their passion projects. The senior leadership team is very transparent and during our regular AMAs they've answered questions about our company strategy, why certain decisions were made, our finances, and so on - all of which makes me feel like I can trust them. "
"Stack is a terrific place to work. We have incredible benefits, great pay, and a welcoming culture that is inclusive, welcoming, and caring!"
"Great place to work. Very good parental benefits for both mothers and fathers."
"I have worked for many employers in the past who talk about the importance of DEI - but this is the first employer in my 30+ years of professional experience that lives it... everyday. Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging is the heart of Stack - it is who we are and what we do. I'm proud to be here."

"Stack Overflow is the first company I worked for that I call home. I've been here for about four years and loved every moment. My colleagues, leader, and manager are kind, empathetic, intelligent, and excellent collaborators. There are no questions that are too small to ask and people are willing to lend a hand when you need help. They truly care about your well-being and want you to take time when you need it. I have a flexible schedule that I can work around as long as I discuss with my manager ahead of time. Stack Overflow also launched learn, share, grow day for everyone to take half day to learn something new with all the resources they offer online or to use our professional development budget. "

"It's the typical bro culture of an engineering company. Women are treated as second class citzens."

"Head of HR is female, no surprise, but the head of Engineering is too! That bodes well toward leveling the playing field. Sadly, if you are over 40 and female there is NO place for you in this organization. Tech is generally ageist and SO is a textbook example. They are super conscientious about representative of all “underrepresented “ populations -LGBTQIA, Neuro-atypical Black & Brown, Asian Pacific Islander etc but age discrimination is not popular and trendy and gets no nod.
