"I was treated unfairly by a female HR manager, that was an outside hire. She was out to get me even though I had leadership support and had worked in the company for years. It depends on your site and your manager but overall it is a good place; just watch out for toxic human resources."

"The experience working here is highly dependent on which division/ business unit/ subdivision with little organizational consistency. In my experience, few women were promoted to leadership positions within the division while we saw several men in the same time frame. One excellent woman manager I had was in fact demoted as part of a larger reorganization."

"Primary caregivers are offered 8 weeks paid "caregiver" leave, and non-primary caregivers are offered 3 weeks of "bonding" leave. In the case of having a child, this would mean the mother receives 11 weeks paid leave (stacked) and father receives 3. You are encouraged to use PTO to cover the 12th FMLA week though you have the option to take it unpaid as an alternative. This is based on my experience in 2022. "

"There are strong expectations that people will be respectful, co-operative and constructive in their dealings with each other. The work is demanding, but there is zero drama. A very diverse workforce, and as long as you do your fair share of the work and do it well there's very little pressure about anything else. "

"Even though there are female Execs in leadership positions it is still challenging for ground floor female employees to move up. Science is a VERY male dominated field and the culture is deeply rooted but it is slowly changing. We have to work hard, build each other up, and not be afraid to be proud of our accomplishments."

"More women are spoke up (thanks to their male counterparts coming to them with salary information) about gender wage gaps in multiple divisions in 2016. The company tells the employees they will review the concerns and table them for "review at a later date." The company ignores well know problems of equal pay and promotion for women and minorities and there is a exodus of employees after managers responded with retaliatory behavior (removing support, resources, gaslighting, setting employees up to fail). "I believe experiences vary depending upon whether a person is working in the field (sales/commercial capacity) or in one of the brick and mortar offices, and then whether that office is an acquired company or one of the "traditional" Thermo businesses. Office settings in general appear to be conservative, and less flexible for women. Field positions inherently provide greater flexibility. All that said, your supervisor is key to your experience!"

"Our leadership team has very few women, and there are no women-to-women mentoring programs. The maternity leave policy is lagging, as the company only offers 5-6 weeks short term disability pay (70% of salary), but you get 6 weeks only if you take a week of your FMLA before your baby is born, which makes no sense. There is no paid paternity leave or adoptive parent leave."
