"If you are a minority woman, you can obtain a promotion, but it will take years and it will be tough. This is a traditional culture where number of years spent and who you know far outweigh performance. You will need upper leadership sponsors. Set boundaries/the stage from the beginning so that the culture doesn't hijack worklife balance. "

"UHG is a great place to grow your skillset if you take your career into your own hands. Though they preach a strong culture, it really depends on your team/leader to drive that out. In the last 5 years, I have been thrown into many different roles and on different teams which has led to burn out. Be clear about your career goals and constantly challenge your leadership to make sure they support them!"
