"I worked at UCSF for 2 years. There is diversity but leadership is primarily male dominated. Benefits are good, time off is okay, retirement is great. Growth opportunity is there but you need to be your own advocate, find a mentor, and be willing to wait longer than you would elsewhere. Overall I loved my time there because of the people and satisfaction of working at a non-profit and academic setting."

"Salary is low with little opportunity for advancement. It's very bureaucratic and slow. Day cares available at the various sites but too expensive for most employees to afford."
