"-there is NO paid maternity leave, they think FMLA is maternity leave which is a sick joke considering that most employees here dedicate their lives to taking care of other people, it is sad that our employer can't help us take care of our own babies
-depending on your job there is not a lot of work from home flexibility
-there is a daycare near by that is easy to get into, however i don't know how great it is, but many employees use it
-there is a daycare that is more oriented as a school, however this one has a 5 year waitlist unless you are faculty - then there is no waitlist. it is NOT fair.
-there are IVF benefits once you have worked for a year
-you get sick time, which is great

"Try to get the highest salary you can because you will never get more than a 3% raise unless you get promoted to a higher position."

"How flexible they are depends on your boss/department. Basic Science/Research areas tend to be less rigid, but these are Ph.D.'s and M.D.'s and they tend to think their way is unquestionable and supreme. They never ask what employees want or think, and if they do, it's ignored. Everyone is afraid to speak up."
