"It is difficult to get promoted from within. Most of the women are on the clinical team, assistants, or in HR. Not many women in technology. There is a "good old boys" mentality there. There is also a handful of employees who "know" someone and have titles that do not reflect their experience. If you are confident, but not too outspoken you will be fine here. "

"There is *some* flexibility if you have doctor appointments or other personal matters that have to be taken care of during the day. However, VH has a very "old school" mentality where they measure success off of everyone being in the office from 8am-5pm. If you are seen leaving early, then your co-workers will talk about you. The founder has expressed that he does not praise this type of behavior and highly recommends that you work efficiently, but the older employees cannot seem to get this logic through their head."
