"As a woman just know your worth as the company will not negotiate your salary. And if the hotel you are working at that they are managing doesn't have any health benefits, you get none from the company.
As a woman of color even tougher. I have asked for help in the sales office and I always get the runaround. But that didn't stop them from telling me what I was lacking on and need to improve on.
I would question them, "How can I not lack in this area when I do not have any help? I am running a whole department on my own."
The silence.
Just do your research and make sure it is a corporate hotel you are applying for instead of a franchised/managed. "
