"Cons: Lack of consistent, documented messaging/policies within and across departments confuse expectations, especially for new staff and seniors. Disconnects between staff availability and staff assignments result in overloaded and poorly trained staff/seniors; this spills over and overloads reviewers up the chain. Partners who step in to "help wrap up" a return don't document their tax software changes resulting in ongoing disconnect between filed tax returns and their support. Frequently neglected or poor supporting tax workpapers result in a scramble for information when client has a planning question or sends over a tax notice.
Other notes - 401(k) match around 25% (up to 6% of salary), health and dental insurance on the expensive end, FSA card use ends on day of departure, regardless of amount previously contributed."
