"The culture seems great, to start. Everyone is very nice, but it's often fake. After you've been there a while you'll see that unless you are related to the CEO, have an advanced degree, or become part of the CEO's inner circle, you will get passed over for every promotion or compensation increase. Promotions and compensation increases are a joke; the CEO likes to keep base pay low and make side deals for special bonuses or spiffs which are great when you receive them, but very unequitable for the rest of staff. Promotions are done on an "interim" basis, which means you do the new job with no immediate increase in comp but take an "interim" in front of your new title, and ONLY if you hit certain (often hard to achieve and unrealistic) goals after a MINIMUM of six months, THEN you will get your increase and full promotion. The CEO attaches strings to everything and does as much as he can to keep actual pay low and instead tries to motivate staff with off the books incentives and fringe benefits that are unreliable and subject to his constant mood swings.
