What would you recommend for someone graduating from school in

What would you recommend for someone graduating from school in terms of how to think about mgmt consulting vs. working as an industry-position consultant or other kinds of consulting? It seems like strategy / management consulting is the most prestigious but I'm not sure that's the best reason to pick a job...

I'm interviewing for a new job. Should I reveal that I'm a mom of a 18-month old? Or is it better to hide it?

My salary and benefits package is set at a national level. How do I effectively negotiate for myself when my local contacts have no power in setting my compensation? My local boss has agreed that a change needs to be made, has discussed on my behalf with our local senior leadership and president, all of whom agreed with the new offer (which was created without my input, so I have not idea what changes the offer included). When passed on to the national HR department, it was shot down. How do you handle negotiation when local boss and co president approve pay change, but it's denied by national HR department? Do I try to move forward in pushing the subject, or is it time to jump ship and find a new opportunity?

I have a VP over many buildings in my company and she seems to be extremely un-knowledgeable, disorganized, and tells our Board of Directors everything is running smoothly. How do I share my concerns anonymously without rocking the boat? All of our HR team (VP, Directors, Assistants, etc) has left with the exception of one person. Our VP is also very good personal friends with her direct supervisor, the President.

Hi - I recently left my job and became pregnant. I am 12 weeks pregnant and job hunting. Its possible that I will have a couple of job offers in the next month. At what point in the interview/offer process do I tell an employer that I'm pregnant? Are there companies that will hold my job during maternity leave even though I won't qualify for FMLA? I'm also concerned with affecting a new relationship with an employer by revealing that I will be going on leave in six months. Has anyone else experienced this? Looking for facts and words of encouragement!
