I'm happy to see our group growing. We now have 67 people in our group, which is a perfect size! It would be wonderful to get to know one another and support each other into and through the second chapter of our career journeys. Let's add to this discussion by telling us :

Hi everyone! I've been off of FGB for a while and just recently hopped back on the platform and found this group!
1) I'm Laquel Wright Chester. I currently live in Atlanta,. GA but am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area.
2) I'm a huge nerd and have a very weird sense of humor. My favorite movie is Deadpool.
3) I've been in the tech world in Marketing and Analytics fro over 15 years. I quit my job in Dec 2020 to pursue my dream of having my own business. I love mentoring women and helping them achieve their goals! My passion is helping corporate women regain their freedom by breaking away from the 9-to-5 and start their own businesses.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi there,
I am Cheryl Keen Tucker and I live near Roanoke, Virginia. It is near both the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway! I have had an extensive career in the corporate world and have also been a small business owner. I get to advise small businesses everyday through a great job that combines many of my talents and experiences to help others. I have seen the "Fairygodboss" link on my Facebook account and have seen some articles that I thought were interesting. I saw the group for Second Chapter Women Entrepreneurs! And, this is how I got here! I look forward to getting to know you a bit better!

Hi all! Thanks, Adrienne, for continuing to be a muse of mine!
1) I'm Laurie Halter and I live in the beautiful resort town of Bend, Oregon
2) Fun fact: In college I was part of a band as their go go dancer and got paid in beer. :)
3) I have owned a successful PR firm for over two decades now but just last year started a female empowerment podcast named Carearing. That's how I met our group leader, Adrienne! She was a guest on the show!

Hi. Thanks for creating this group!
1. I'm Diane Neustadt and I live on Long Island in Plainview NY. Pre-covid I would split my time between our NYC and Melville offices - looking forward to doing that again whenever we're able to!
2. Fun Fact: I'm a big Pearl Jam fan since 1991 and would have seen them this past summer in my first trip to Europe in Paris/Amsterdam. Something to look forward to - it will happen!
3. I am with the same financial planning/insurance firm for 35+ years (yikes) yet 3 years ago after divorce I needed to enhance my income (admins only make so much) and emerged from within the office walls. Started networking and building an advisor practice - I have met such wonderful people and realized I have a lot to offer. Took a few punches to the gut (not literally) to realize that. Once I decided to stop fighting the universe I gained clarity, direction and sanity!

2) Fun fact: Once upon a time, I had two Bernese Mountain dogs and at the same time, I had 4 children who were all under 4 years old
3) In this second chapter, I am very gently beginning to navigate from solopreneur to having people working for me. Because I built my practice from the ground up, I am reluctant to share responsibilities because my reputation is what is ensuring my success

I'll start...
1). My name is Adrienne Garland, and I'm living in Long Island
2). Something unique about me is that I always wished that I would be an actor/dancer/comedian.
3). In this second chapter, I'd like to think that I'm headed for financial success with my company, and possibly a sale to a larger company so that I can pay off any bills and loans, then go back to school to become a designer.
