I'm curious if there are any entrepreneurs here in this group that are considering full time employment, after the business didn't meet your success criteria.
Yes - once a week! If there was a close-enough to entrepreneurship for me it would be to join a team already working to change the world for women.
I miss having a team!
Great question! I have not yet encountered this, but I think the financial aspect would make me consider a move to full-time employment. If finances weren't an issue for me, and I enjoyed running my business—even if it wasn't yet successful, I may continue.
Are you currently facing a situation like this?
Yes, as an entrepreneur, for the last several years I've been asking myself the question if I should seek out a full time employment situation so that there can be some regularity to the cash flow. However, everytime I start to seriously consider it, I back away, as I love my freedom and autonomy to make my own decisions. I also think that the amount of work that I would dedicate to building someone else's business can be channeled to overcome any challenges my business faces. Then, I stop thinking about full time employment! HA!
You have the answer to your question right there! Do you find satisfaction in your business? If it's not quite doing it for you, what can you change to make it better? Going back to work for someone else, usually isn't what makes everything better.
I did it temporarily when I got divorced, then changed up my model when I got remarried and went right back to working for myself. Now I can't imagine working for anyone else. I just scale up when I need more money.
love this. Yes, my business model needs some reimagining - which is exactly what I am doing now! Thanks for the great response.
