How are you taking care of yourselves during quarantine?

Hi ladies! I wanted to check in with this community and see how people are taking care of themselves (or not!) during quarantine. I had a weekend trip planned to see my parents 3 weeks ago and just never left. I don't have the clothing I would normally want, I can't exercise very well, and I had to hastily switch all of my therapy clients over to virtual sessions in the span of a few days. Not ideal! However, I am grateful to be healthy, safe, and able to continue serving my clients during this time of uncertainty and heightened anxieties. 3 ways I am taking care of myself: 1. Eating regular meals instead of noshing all day 2. Keeping a regular schedule as if I'm going into an office 3. Limiting the time I spend consuming the news Something I want to improve in the coming week: 1. Setting more realistic and consistent exercise goals instead of making excuses then trying to cram it all in on one day!

So much great suggestions! I do several things to try and 'manage' during quarantine <3 1. Declutter for 5 minutes. A clean space makes everything easier. 2. Audio Books (especially to and from in the car and sometimes motivational for the whole family.. including the kids.. BONUS!) 3. Eat well. Nourish your body for the temple it is 4. Meditate, even for 3 minutes, for clarity 5. Gratitude journal for lower stress and calmness

I love this, especially #1! It's so easy to just let it all pile up because it happens so slowly, but I am able to focus so much better when I have a clean and organized workspace.

I have worked from home for 10+ years, but transitioning to having to work with everyone home - 2 kids and a husband has been challenging at time. I think what has helped me is: 1. Sticking to my regular schedule; even the simple things like showering, getting dressed (not lounging in PJ's all day), putting on make up. I just feel better. 2. Working out with online classes and even getting family involved 3. Getting outside - walking or even just sitting outside to get some fresh air.

Such good ideas! I heard someone say recently "We're not working from home, we're home during a crisis and trying to work." and I think it's so true whether trying to switch from working in an office to working from home or from someone who was used to it in a very different way having to transition overnight. I've been so happy to see everyone being really kind and patient with each other with crying kids/barking dogs/other adults trying to work on the wifi at the same time!

Yes, everyone has been very understanding. It's a nice feeling to feel like we are all in this together.

Amazing! What's your favorite book you've read so far during this time? I just started The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware to escape from all of the mental health reading I'm doing.
