Sometimes it's not the job that you hate but who you have BECOME at the job that you dislike.
Thoughts?
I agree with the two comments posted on Monday 11/16. I see it kind of like a chicken-or-the-egg situation. A job you dislike can change the way you interact with others--for the worse--both professionally and personally. But you can also feel dedicated to the work you do or the organization you work for but not the position you have. Either way, the overall effect can leave you feeling miserable.
If the job has turned you into someone that you don't like to see in the mirror wouldn't it still be the job that you would hate (for what it does to you)?
Good question!
My question is if a job defines you, maybe it’s tone to redefine what success means to you? As that can change as we grow personally and professionally.
I totally agree with this, I have found myself acting differently under different types of pressure. I can handle job pressure, but when the company culture is to blame, I am not the same! What about you?
