Hey everyone, getting stuck on the what are you looking for question.
Not really sure what roles to look for since I'm not sure what's out there. Don't want managerial or call center, don't care about being senior level. Prefer smaller companies.
I'm great at front desk, admin, customer support, fielding questions etc. Amazing at technical troubleshooting, organizing and training. Have video production experience but that doesn't have to be the focus. It all just feels like a hodge podge, not sure where I fit. In my 50's and relaunching after taking on too many domestic/caregiving roles
Thanks
Hello Fairy Friends
I'm currently looking for another work opportunity!
I have experience in Recruiting, Recruiting Coordinator, Human Resources, Compliance Analyst and Client Support Services. I'm searching for a Remote opportunity, and I would greatly appreciate any guidance everyone has to offer.
Looking for work in your 50s is hard. (I say this from current experience). And if recruiters/hiring managers can't figure out what you specifically bring to the table, they will go to the person who has experience that checks the boxes for that particular role.
It's normal to want to throw a wide net - you don't want to overlook opportunities - but you have to balance that with being more focused. You may need a few job titles that describe what you want to do - e.g. office manager, IT support and then be very clear what skills and experience you bring to the table. Even if you know there's more you can do - try to stay on target with your main selling selling points.
And maybe consider talking with a career counselor to help you narrow your focus.
Good luck
