Hello All, I'm looking for some advice, I'm looking for a career change. I've been recruiting for 20+ years. I'm definitely a people person and love to talk with others. Ideally in a setting where I'm assisting and educating other. Based on assessments my strengths are my passion for change, being innovative and persuading others. Any suggestions on getting my foot in the door in a new role? My work history is so tied to recruitment I don't feel like anyone is will to give me a chance in other directions.
Consider working in higher Ed as a career coach. It most likely won’t pay you what you’re making today but can be super satisfying helping prepare our younger generations to be successful, good luck!
Being a people person is a superpower!

Business development is a role that is always in demand. Account managers, account executives... also huge. If you have a speciality in recruiting for a particular vertical (healthcare, SaaS, etc.) that might be the easiest way in. And if you love the company you work for now, consider a transfer. You'll already know the company from the inside out, and it will reduce onboarding time. (Managers love that!)
