Starting my real career
I desperately want to transition into a management position at a Hospital here in NYC but it’s so hard to get pass the application stage
If you're applying and not getting interviews, it's hard to know why. Do you have all the requirements (degree, experience, skills, etc ) the job calls for? Are you applying to larger hospitals? Sometimes starting at a smaller hospital and gaining experience is a better option if your goal is a position at a major hospital. Do you need to look at other geographic areas to find more/better jobs? Is your resume current and optimized for ATS? Have someone look at your resume and see if it shows your skills off in the best way. Make sure your cover letter highlights what's not on your resume while emphasizing your skills. Reach out to recruiters and people in your network for guidance and job leads. Job hunting is always hard. Doing it now is even harder. It might take you longer than you want to get the dream job. But it will happen!
