Seeking new opportunity
Hi! I'm new to FGB, and I'm currently looking for a Data Scientist position, preferably in Washington D.C but open to NYC. Please feel free to reach out if you know of any opportunities in the DMV or NYC area. Best company I can think about in D.C. is Capital One. But, what you really need to figure out is which company is dying to have an Analytics professional with a Math background who is bilingual/diverse and can teach others as much as do the work.
Your LinkedIn profile is not as pointed to tell this story above.
Headline could be tweaked to Bilingual Data Science/Machine Learning/Analytics Professional with Teaching Experience.
Summary needs to speak to outcomes first, then skills. For example, you should pull out your credit card fraud project outcomes to the summary section rather than buried in the boot camp section. Analytics jobs abound and companies can't find the right talent. Make a list of 100 companies you think can benefit from your expertise, start connecting with peers and HR in those companies, showcase your expertise to them, send impact emails to hiring managers to show what you can do. Cultivate a network in Data Science Central as much as in this forum (more focused networking vs. here you have female support).
