Hello All!
I am a heavy equipment operator in NC. My husband and I are actually team operators/graders and unfortunately, just before Christmas, the company we were with, layed us off. It is extremely difficult to find work in this field of work during winter. If anyone near or in the NC region knows or has any leads, it would be greatly appreciated. We have put in and called 100's of places between the two of us and so far have only managed to snag one interview this coming Monday at Dragonfly Pond Works, which is great! I just like to have a few leads if possible just in case. Well, I look forward to being a part of the community here and really like and appreciate what you are doing for woman. Thank you!
If you are forklift certified, there seem to be a lot of distribution centers (Amazon, Walmart, etc) which might be better benefits.
Around Mooresville and Troutman there is a ton of new construction, which should pick up now that interest rates are falling.
I am not forklift certified. I have never operated in a warehouse. Everything I operate is and/or has been in an outdoor construction site atmosphere. Thank you and I appreciate the suggestion.
Have you checked Southern Asphalt in Conway SC?
I have not, neither of us really know anything about asphalt. However, I am not opposed to checking them out. Thank you so much! I will give them a look.
Try governmentjobs.com, put in your location and see if there are heavy equipment operator jobs. Also look at temp agencies, some advertise jobs for h. e. ops. State, city and county and construction companies may be your best bets for this type of work. Best Wishes!
Thank you! I will definately check that out. I appreciate it greatly!
