How does one become unstuck in their job search?

You don't want to go back to what your doing and there are few jobs in the field you want to go to.

Hi, I would recommend joining professional groups that are related to the field you want to be in. I started in security and worked my way into HR about 8 years ago. Getting a mentor and networking really helped me make the transition. I'm a Recruiting Manager at American Family Insurance if there's other questions I can assist with. Best of luck

Adding onto Emily's comment, human are innately wired to help so utilize that! I you attended a college or university, a great way to find new folks in your new intended field is through the LinkedIn alumni tool. You can utilize LinkedIn's data in order to find someone you already have something in common with (alumni!) and then learn more about what they're doing. I have a quick free overview of using the tool here: https://www.alybrine.com/LinkedInAlumniTool

I would recommend looking on LinkedIn for folks in the industry/job you want to learn about. Asking folks for a 20 minute informational interview is the best way to expand your network and success.

And I like to add what about lack of experience and network
