Hello,
I have worked retail for 16 years as a store manager. I wanted a career change so in 2017 I went to university to obtain my bachelors degree in business. Fast forward to graduation in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. I decided that it wasn't the right time. Now I have left my job and I am three months into my search for a new career. Oh and I am pursuing my MBA. My problem is my resume is getting passed over. Is it worth hiring a professional resume writer?

It's not you the market is tough. Depends what type of roles you are applying at. I would recommend focusing on one industry and applying all your force into it.
What kind of positions are you applying for?
My dream job is to work in the non-profit arena.
I have been applying for leadership roles in banking, and all sales jobs (entry level). If I am being honest I just want a job with a great working environment that will allow me time to spend with my family on weekends and evenings.
Have you been receiving any response to your applications? Are you getting interviews? Making it to final rounds?
No. I have had zero response to the jobs I want. I get replies from insurance companies, and door to door sales people.

First, have chatgpt, if you haven't already, revise parts of your resume to cater to the jobs you're applying for, which is a lot cheaper than a professional writer.
