I’m actively looking for a Data Analyst position and am excited to return to the workforce after taking 2 years off to care for my newborn with 6 years of experience.
With 6 years of experience in data analytics, automation, and business intelligence, I specialize in:
*SQL & ETL process optimization
*Dashboard development & data visualization
*Workflow automation & problem-solving
I’m eager to apply my skills in data-driven decision-making and contribute to impactful projects. If you know of any opportunities or have advice on navigating a career comeback, I’d love to connect!
Check out positions with Business Analyst titles if you don't keep an eye on them already. I know there are positions at Amazon looking for candidates like you.
I navigated my return to the paid workforce after taking a step back from my HR career to be at home with my son and currently lead workshops on the topic as well! Here are a few insights:
Look into returnship opportunities (check out PathForward.org and iRelaunch.com)
Identify your current wants and needs which will act as a guide as you search for a job. You may want different things from a company and/or job at this point in your life which is completely normal!
Definitely lean into your network. If you haven't already, start creating connections to learn about companies and roles you are wanting to return to, how other women navigated their journey, any recommended skills that may have become needed in the years since you started your career break, etc.
Make sure your resume is reviewed by someone with a recruiting eye and an industry eye.
If there are any areas you feel as though you need to upskill in, seek out strategic volunteering opportunities or classes.
Know that you've got this! You've got great experience and skillset.
Any company would be lucky to have you.
Good luck!!
