career change and possibly work at home
I have been an Advancement Director in a private elementary school for over 20 years. Have always loved my career, especially doing programs and more to help children. My previous principal retired and picked a teacher with no administrative or principal qualifications to be the new principal. She is a very disrespectful person and has not allowed me to do a lot of the responsibilies and other aspects of my job since she became principal. She also changed my positition to part time for no apparent reason except that she said she can do many of the things that I do (which she has not). Since the pandemic and being laid off since March 29th, it has given me time to think about a change in job or even a career. I'm doing a lot of webinars regarding the NEW direction of Advancement and Enrollment in schools since the pandemic and I am also a certified teacher for Mindfulness with Children, ages 4-12. So, I am thinking do I pursue being an advancement consultant and/or teacher for Mindfulness? And yet, I would love to be able to work from home part time. Appreciate any feedback! Sorry this was so long. Thank you
