Looking for work-from-home jobs.
I think I’ve applied for 50 jobs at this point and only heard back from 2. I just want a job I can do from home! I know they’re out there somewhere! XD help!
There are a variety of customer service-type jobs available these days, including contact tracing. Most can be and are being done from home.
That said, when applying for jobs it is quality of your application and not quantity that counts. When you see a job you want to apply for, research the company as thoroughly as you can both online and informational interviews. Customize your resume to meet the requirements and qualifications, plus what you learned from your research.
But you only want a job--any job will do. That may be the case for you, but it is not the case for the employer. They want someone who wants to be there and be of service to them--someone who can make a unique and exemplary contribution.
Consider paying for a subscription with FlexJobs, it's pretty affordable, $30 for 3 months. FlexJobs has literally thousands of remote jobs listed and some good webinars centered around remote work.
Remote work is very competitive right now, and I've had to tailor every resume for each job I've applied for. A large number of companies hiring remotely use an Applicant Tracking System.
Getting through the ATS ensures that your resume makes it to an actual person's hands.
I hope this is helpful!
What work from home jobs are you applying for because I haven't been able to find any that are even legit. Most I have researched are scams.
50. That's cute. Honey the WFH market is extremely competitive and most employers won't hire anyone who hasn't WFH. What type of jobs are you looking for? Is this a career change?

I hear you. Fifty applications is no small achievement. I think between the Covid craziness and this being a traditionally slow time of year, interviews are taking more time to happen. Keep doing what you're doing -- things should ease up after Labor Day.
