New to group
Hello! First time posting in this group. So have decided to leave my company after 15 years and totally scared about looking for a new role. Any advice or help always welcomed!
Welcome! Don't be afraid to go after what you want and showcase your skills and the value you bring to the table. Stay positive and embrace the change!
Welcome to the group, Nandini!
Good luck! It is certainly scary out there but it's so nice having this community to support you. You'll be great!
Transitioning now is a bit different, and totally possible. Here's a post that might help guide your planning: https://arcvida.com/Blog/Post/the-5-things-you-should-do-now-if-you-are-in-a-career-transition
Be prepared for a very different job market and a SLOOOOOWWWW job market. Otherwise, you go on with your bad self girl!
Welcome from one Product person to another. :)
I say, if your gut is telling you to leave you company, then go for it. You'll do great.
Product is a great field to be looking for work these days, depending on your vertical and it's not that difficult to switch verticals in Product with your experience (assuming you have more than a few years of experience as a product leader).
I'm happy to help review your resume or just chat about where you want to go next in your career, and you are welcome to connect with me on FGB and LinkedIn (I have a pretty good network of people who hire Product people).
Good luck in your journey and I look forward to connecting with you.
working on my resume right now and will connect with you! thank you for the encouragement.
My first thought is "be brave." This is going to involve lots of vulnerability, courage, and maybe some shame. Leaving is difficult, but so is change. I am in a similar situation, and sometimes, it is difficult to stay motivated. Take the next right step. Breathe. Then, take the next right step. Good luck.
thank you for the post, I will have to put that on my chalk board!
