Is it okay to apply again?

Hey all! So I applied to a role about 1.5 months ago. The job listing is still open and I haven't heard anything back. Is it okay to apply again? Would that help or hurt my chances? Any feedback is welcome. Thanks!

another thought which I used to help a family member with a job search years ago, find a recruiter with that company on linkedin. Similar situation to yours, he'd applied and got no response, but after contacting one of the company's recruiters via linkedin, he got the interview, and the job and still loves in 7 years later.

I would say that if you do...try to tailor your resume to better fit the job description (while still being honest obviously. Don't try to reapply with the same resume.

There are no job-application laws :) Re-apply! I like the anonymous suggestion above to try to find the hiring manager but if you can't, I would add a cover letter to your online application saying "I applied for this position last year, etc etc. I have these skills, blah, blah. Here's what I've done in the last year that makes me even better for this position, yada yada."

I would suggest finding out who the hiring manager is and contacting them directly. Maybe ask if the position is still open and reiterate your interest- Attached your resume and leave your phone number at the bottom of an email! Or stop into the office and hand deliver a resume! Direct contact goes a long way, good luck!!
