Let me get this straight: not wearing pantyhose makes me frivolous but showing off my boobs increases the probability of my getting the job by almost 20%?! This is infuriating!

Interesting! So much of this information makes me wonder about how bias plays so much into the interview process. And while the interviewer should be aware of how they are being perceived by the interviewee, the interviewee should also be proactive and aware of any biases that might be at play due to these little signals that really have nothing to do with the candidate's qualifications or fit for the role.

I was researching little tips and tricks to help me out because I encounter debilitating anxiety when it comes to interviews / exams / public speaking.
I can convince myself it's easy-peasy, like meeting someone for coffee, but when I walk into the office...
INTERVIEWER: "So, tell me about yourself..."

What helps me is just telling myself that it is okay to fail (again), take some deep breaths, and in the end if they don't want me then I don't want them either! LOL
