How much is affordable? I was going to do mine through TopResume until I lost my job at the beginning of the year. They want an astronomical fee (with a payment plan of course).

I can only speak to my experience with CareerBenders (which was about 1 years ago). She had different price points (at that time) depending on what you need and she offered a short "get to know you" call where we figured out what I needed and if we were a good fit. I paid 600.00, which included two skype meetings: First one to review my career, highlights, what I'm looking for, what I thought was the reason I was being overlooked, what I wanted to highlight in my resume etc and then another to review and tweak the draft resume. I would highly suggest the you review her web site and book a free strategy session. There is nothing hidden with her, she will quote you a price and that's the price. FYI - my husband had his resume rewritten after he decided to return to get his degree and change careers in his mid-40s. He spent about 300ish and he got a resume re-format (with minor word changes) not a resume rewrite.
