I am struggling to find a job
I am trying to look for a job that is work from home, full-time (8 hours) Monday through Friday, with a good pay and is hiring immediately. Please if anyone knows of jobs like this let me know as soon as possible it will be greatly appreciated.
It's great to have your list of the optimal work environment, but jobs, like partners, rarely check all of the boxes.
What field are you in?
Many place offer fair pay but great benefits
Lots of places require folks to come in anywhere from once/week to once/quarter.
Consider where you can compromise.
Since hiring processes can be involved, you may want to put your resume on some of the general job boards or ones that are focused on your area of expertise so company and independent recruiters can find you. Be sure to have a summary and bullet points on your resume that indicate the benefit of your talents to a business: money or time saved, customers served, revenue generated, etc.
You may also want to consider employment agencies because if the employer need is urgent, many times they will fill it with agency or contract workers. Of course, the quickest way to find a job is probably if you can find an "in" with a company by knowing someone working there - the good old "networking" approach.
As for the work from home requirement, you may have to spend more than 8 hours per day Monday through Friday unless you can find a job that is of a clerical nature. Also, even some of those require you to show up in the office, at least on occasion. I recently had a finance contract position that was entirely work from home, but it definitely was not 8 hours Monday through Friday, although it did pay well. In addition, with the "return to office" trend, you may find those entirely WFH jobs are not as easy to find as they were even a year ago.
These are just some general recommendations - Wishing you the best!
Thank you this was very helpful.
You and everyone else! You're probably struggling to find one because not that many of them exist anymore. The majority of people I know who work from home either own their own business or do outside consulting, which is more of an hourly contract position. I agree with the comment below, you need to look for a job/industry matching your skillset, then go from there.
By the way, you don't mention why you need this type of position. Many employers will ask that question and require a solid reason from you. They'll also want assurances that you will be actually working for the eight hours, not managing things at home, taking care of kids/family members, etc.
I agree - and you will be VERY much more marketable if you don't have the remote requirement.
I'd interviewed a year ago & they were starting the meeting off with the question of ME- to get that established at the start. I prefer to work NOT at home and more recently the remote jobs are NOT available
What skills do you have? Start with what you have to offer, not what you need and you'll find the process much easier.
