At this point I want to fling myself into the sun.
"We are hiring... But we wish YOU success in your job search with applying to other places."
Just keep going. Trust me- I know how discouraging it can be and I felt just like that a year ago. I looked for a position for a year with only a few interviews to show for it despite strong experience. One day, I received an email from Indeed for what I thought would be a perfect fit for me, sent out a resume and had a call within 45 minutes. I interviewed and had a job offer within 48 hours. I found out later there were over 3000 applicants, and 400 interviews for 16 positions. This new job is really a great fit for me and I am excited about the company. When it is meant to be, it will be. Hang in there and good luck!
I understand! It's SO frustrating. But keep on keeping on. Eventually you will find a great job. In the meantime, if you need to pay the bills, consider temping; sometimes it leads to a permanent job.
I've heard that so SO many times!! Also: we enjoyed meeting you, your experience is GREAT but don't feel you are a good fit. Good luck in your career search!!
Hang in there!!
I’m sure this is frustrating but your application doesn’t equate to a job offer! You weren’t a fit, someone else was. Maybe they clicked with the hiring manager a bit better or had a skill set more closely aligned with the position. There’s some level of entitlement to this job search strategy.
Yeah, I understand at that point but it's different if you never made it past the application.
It's like man, you guys are hiring for a role and I applied because I knew I could do the job. In this state many of us are just trying to not be homeless.
Thanks for the kind words! And you too!
My other favorite: they continue to post the ad AFTER telling you "no thanks"
Yeah, like dude come on.
